The league tournaments are all complete and the season is complete for everyone.

One NJ team reached the Final Four and another one won a national championship.

A look at the post-season results for all the NJ schools.

DIVISION 1

NCAA TOURNAMENT

Seton Hall got the 8th seed in the Midwest and topped NC State 94-83. 6 foot 3 Sr. Khadeen Carrington hit for 26.

Seton Hall lost to Kansas 83-79 in the second round. 6 foot 9 Sr. Angel Delgado went for 24 points and 23 rebounds.

NIT TOURNAMENT

Rider lost at Oregon 99-86 Tuesday in the first round. 6 foot 5 R/S Fr. Dimencio Vaughn led with 25.


LEAGUE TOURNAMENTS

ATLANTIC SUN TOURNAMENT

In their third year in the league, NJIT received the 4th seed and saw their comeback fall short falling to North Florida 80-76.

NORTHEAST CONFERENCE TOURNAMENT

FDU got the 6th seed and open play upsetting St. Francis PA 84-75 Wednesday.

FDU was edged by LIU Brooklyn 78-77 in the semis. 6 foot 8 So. Kaleb Bishop tallied 19 points and 22 rebounds.


MAAC TOURNAMENT

Three NJ Colleges are battling in this tournament which is set for Albany NY.

9th seeded St. Peter's trimmed 8th seeded Monmouth 60-58

St. Peter's continued their run upsetting top seeded Rider 66-55. Sam Idowu had 12.

St. Peter's will the Iona/Manhattan winner Sunday at 7:00 in the semis.

The championship is Monday at 7:00

As the regular season champ Rider gets a NIT bid.


BIG 10 TOURNAMENT

14th seeded Rutgers upset 11th seeded Minnesota 65-54 .

In the second round the Rutgers run continued with a 76-69 surprising win over Indiana

Rutgers had their exciting Big 10 Tournament run ended by Purdue 82-75

BIG EAST TOURNAMENT

Seton Hall is the NJ team in this tough league and action begins March 7 in New York. Seton Hall got the 3rd seed.

IVY LEAGUE

Regular season action ends on March 3

This is the second year the Ivy League will have a post-season tournament with the top 4 teams competing.

Princeton fell to Yale 94-90 in the season finale and did not make the tournament.

DIVISION 2

Three of the four NJ D-2 schools in the CACC made the cut for this event. They all lost in the opening round.

North top seeded Bloomfield was upset by South 4th seed Sciences 72-63

. North 3rd seeded Caldwell fell to South 2nd seeded Jefferson 75-70.

North 4th seeded Felician lost to South top seeded Goldey Beacom 87-80.

Bloomfield received an at large bid to the NCAA tournament.

Bloomfield beat St. Thomas Aquinas 91-78. 6 foot 1 Jr. Keith Washington (Rice/Frankford PA) scored 23. In the second round outscored Merrimack 109-91. 6 foot 6 Sr. Nick Davidson (Rancocas Valley - NJ Hoops #70 Class of 2014) went for 33.

Lost to LeMoyne 75-59 in the Sweet 16. Washington had 16.

DIVISION 3

NCAA

Ramapo and New Jersey City both made the NCAA field.

New Jersey City fell to Union College 76-72.

Ramapo beat Moravian 86-61. Ramapo trimmed Williams 66-62 to advance to the Sweet 16. 6 foot 6 Sr. Thomas Bonacum went for 33 points and 13 rebounds

Ramapo topped Franklin & Marshall 72-62 to advance to the Elite 8.

Ramapo trimmed MIT 68-66 to advance to the Final Four. Moseley scored 14.

In the Final Four Ramapo fell to Wisconsin Osh Kosh 73-57. Bonacum and Patrick Peterson both had 11.

NJAC

top seeded Ramapo beat surprising William Paterson 67-59 for the automatic NCAA berth. When the NCAA field is announced on Monday expect at least one more NJAC school to make the field. Last week NJCU was 2nd in the Region followed by Ramapo 3rd.

CSAC

Centenary finished 8th and did not make the post-season tournament

EMPIRE 8

Stevens Tech was edged in the semifinals by Utica 63-62.

NEAC

In their second year of men's basketball, the College of St. Elizabeth finished 7th in the South Division and did not make the tournament.

LANDMARK

3rd seeded Drew was trimmed by 2nd seeded Moravian 96-91 in overtime.

MAC FREEDOM

FDU Florham did not make the league tournament.

ECAC

The ECAC Tournament is similar to the NIT in that teams that had good seasons but did not make the NCAA Tournament get to battle for a post season championship.

Drew and William Paterson accepted bids in the 15 team field. Both teams lost in the first round.

Drew lost in overtime to Neuman 114-110

William Paterson fell to Baruch 64-57

JUCO

NJCAA NATIONAL TOURNAMENT

Brookdale was one of 8 teams fighting for the national championship.

In the first round Brookdale CC beat Minnesota West 94-72. 6 foot 4 So. Zack Olukanni notched 25.

Outscored Columbus State 109-79 in the semifinals. 6 foot 4 So. Jaimik Moore scored 19.

Topped Nassau CC 70-57 to win the national championship. 6 foot 5 So. Grant Goode scored 20. 6 foot 5 So. Matt Ringel pulled down 25 rebounds and was MVP

REGION 19 TOURNAMENT

7 NJ teams were competing.

In the first round:

8th seeded Passaic eliminated 9th seeded Middlesex CC 93-80. 6 foot 4 Fr. Robert Wilson (Newark Tech) went for 18 off the bench.

6th seeded Union outscored 11th seeded Bucks 93-80.

Sunday February 25

7th seeded Camden CC ousted 10th seeded Harrisburg CC 64-47.

SECOND ROUND

Tuesday February 27

3rd seeded Cumberland upended Union 90-78. 6 foot 4 So. Haashim Wallace (Vineland - NJ Hoops #21 Juco Soph) scored 28.

top seeded Brookdale outscored Passaic 99-74. 6 foot 5 So. Grant Goode (St. John Vianney - NJ Hoops #5 Juco Soph) had 28. 6 foot 3 So. Jaimik Moore (Hackensack - NJ Hoops #2 Juco Soph) added 20. 6 foot 9 So. Shawn Ulrich (Passaic Valley - NJ Hoops #3 Juco Soph) led Passaic with 23.

2nd seeded Rowan Gloucester ousted Camden CC 90-67. 6 foot Fr. Naquan McPherson (Washington Township) netted 25.

SEMIFINALS

Saturday March 3 at Northampton CC

Cumberland edged Camden 75-74

Brookdale trimmed Northampton CC 81-79

FINAL

SUNDAY March 4 2:30

at Northampton CC

Brookdale topped Cumberland 70-62. Goode had 25 and was selected tournament MVP

The Jersey Blues head to the national tournament

1ST ROUND

Tuesday March 6

5th seeded Ulster NY JC topped 4th seeded Manor PA JC 105-93

3rd seeded Raritan Valley JC beat 6th seeded Mercer CC 67-59. 5 foot 10 Fr. John Evans had 24 for Mercer.

SEMIFINALS

Friday March 11 at Lackawanna PA JC

2nd seeded Morris CC ousted Raritan Valley 91-80. 6 foot 2 So. Lamont Williams scored 30 on 12-14 shooting.

Ulster upset top seeded Lackawanna PA JC 92-86

FINAL

Saturday March 12 at Lackawanna PA JC

Morris CC dropped a tough 76-74 decision to Ulster NY JC
