Youngsters Excel at JEM Classic

The 5th Annual JEM Classic featured the top rising freshman in the northeast. The three game slate featured a girls game, a NJ All Star game and a Regional All Star Game.

In the Regional contest the North Team outscored the South Team 126-101. 5-foot-10 Roselle Catholic frosh Aaron Clarke buried 5 treys and had 19 points and was named MVP. 5-foot-11 Middle Township Fr. Corey Greer was one of three players with 15 points (but the lone NJ Hooper) for the South squad.
in the Garden State Showdown the Orange Team edged the Blue Team 74-73 on a basket at the buzzer from 6-foot-1 Linden Tavon Jones. Jones picked off a pass at midcourt and got to the rack and finished over a defender as time expired. Jones finished with 25 points and was MVP.
