WOBM Results

On Thursday we drove down to Toms River for 6 games in the WOBM Holiday Tournament, including two consolation games and 4 quarterfinals. The event always features the top teams in Ocean County as well as a few out of county teams.
In the first consolation game Freehold Township topped Lacey 60-47 as 6-foot-4 Sr. John Horrigan notched 17 points and 14 rebounds. 5-foot-11 Sr. Kevin Leahy led Lacey with 21, 15 in the first quarter.

In the second consolation contest Wall beat Barnegat 41-31 as 6-foot-1 So. Trent Mitchell had 3 3's and 14 points. 6-foot-1 So. Kyle Morris tallied 10 points and 12 rebounds for Barnegat.
In the first quarterfinal game 14th seeded Central surprised 6th seeded St. Rose 48-39. 6-foot Sr. Joe Reavis scored 15. 6-foot-4 Sr. Sean McGuire led St. Rose with 9 points and 9 rebounds.
In the second quarter CBA outscored Toms River South 16-4 in the third quarter on the way to a 50-35 win. After a sluggish first half the Colts were up 23-19 at intermission. 6-foot-6 Fr. Pat Andree had 10 of his 24 points in the third quarter. He added 13 rebounds. 5-foot-10 So. Tymere Berry had 14 for TRS.
In the 3rd quarterfinal game Jackson Memorial edged Toms River East 44-41 as 6-foot-9 Jr. Eric Carter notched 19 points and 15 rebounds.
In the last game Toms River North thwarted Brick Memorial 51-34 as 5-foot-11 Sr. Damien Singleton was high with 16. 6-foot-7 Sr. Solly Stansbury blocked 9 shots. Ken Coverus had 13 for Brick Memorial.
In the semifinals on Saturday at Pine Belt Arena in Toms River, CBA will play Central and Jackson Memorial will play Toms River North.
