Warriors Take Title

The final of the Summer Classic AAU Tournament was an all NJ affair as the Jersey Shore Warriors took on Sports University Team Izod in the championship game. The invitation only AAU event featured 32 team at Hoop Group Headquarters in Neptune NJ.
In an exiting game that went down to the buzzer, the Warriors escaped with a 66-65 championship game win.

The Warriors took the one point lead with when 6-foot West Chester PA Sr. Austin Constable snuck in for the offensive rebound on a missed foul shot and was fouled himself. He buried one free throw with :17 left, his only point of the game.
Team Izod had a few shots in the final seconds including a pair of shots off of offensive rebounds but none would drop.
6-foot-6 former Rutgers verbal Andrew Nicholas from Eastern York HS in Pennsylvania led the winners with 20 points. 6-foot-4 Cherry Hill East Sr. Chris Santo added 16.
6-foot-2 St. Anthony's grad and Brewster Academy PG Elijah Carter paced Izod with 20 points. 6-foot-4 St. Anthony's Sr. Tyuan Williams tallied 16 points and 11 rebounds. He had 12 and 7 in the second half.
