Tip-Off Showcase Sunday Results

The Hoop Group Showcase features 11 games over two days with most of the top teams in the state competing.
The schedule features 5 games on Sunday.
In the first game Hun held back Paramus Catholic 58-41. 6-foot-9 Navy bound postgrad Will Kelly scored 11 points, grabbed 9 rebounds and blocked 5 shots for the winners. 6-foot-5 Fr. Marquel Sheffield led Paramus Catholic with 16 points on 8-14 shooting.
In the second game Rutgers Prep came back from a 26-9 halftime deficit to upset Hudson Catholic 44-43. 6-foot Sr. point Mike Klinger buried 2 free throws with :25 remaining to give the Argonauts the lead. Klinger finished with 15 points and 4 assists. 6-foot-8 Jr. Mike Young tallied 9 for Hudson Catholic.
In the middle game Teaneck edged St. Joseph's Metuchen 53-49. 6-foot-5 Sr. Chris Jones paced Teaneck with 25 points and 10 boards. 6-foot-5 Temple bound Sr. Quentin DeCosey tallied 15 points, 11 rebounds and 4 steals for St. Joes.
In the fourth game top ranked St. Anthony shut down Trenton Catholic 53-33. The St. Anthony defense held TCA to 25% shooting from the field. 6-foot-6 Sr. Jerome Frink led St. Anthony with 15 points and 10 rebounds. 6-foot-5 Fr. Malachi Richardson paced TCA with 12 points.
In the finale of the weekend St. Benedict's took care of Roselle Catholic 70-48. 6-foot-3 Jr. point Tyler Ennis was MVP for the winners with 17 points and 5 steals. 6-foot-8 Stony Brook bound Sr. Jameel Warney notched 20 points and 10 rebounds for Roselle Catholic. Warney was 8-12 from the floor.
