Tip-Off Showcase Saturday Results
The first day of the 14th Annual Hoop Group Tip Off-Classic features five games at West Orange High School.
In the first game Hun held off Hackensack 56-51 as 6-foot-6 PG Jake Newman tallied 20 points and 7 rebounds. 6-foot-4 Jr. Rashard Figures paced the Comets with 14.

In the second game Blair beat Bloomfield 52-37. 6-foot Jr. Sean Lubreski and 6-foot-4 Jr. Mike Silverthorn divided 32 points. 6-foot-1 Sr. Isaiah Dockett led Bloomfield with 16.
In the middle game Linden edged Don Bosco 61-60 on a buzzer beating three from 5-foot-10 Sr. Cairo Brown. 6-foot-8 Jr. Quadri Moore was high with 16. 6-foot-6 Jr. Tom Sweeney paced Bosco with 16 in the second half.
In the fourth game the Patrick School got past Gill St. Bernard's 58-38. 6-foot-6 St. Joseph's bound Sr. DeAndre Bembry had a monster game with 28 points and 10 rebounds. 6-foot-5 Fr. Tyus Battle had 14 for Gill.
In the finale Seton Hall Prep thwarted Columbia 58-48. 6-foot-5 Princeton bound Sr. Spencer Weisz led with 21. 6-foot-2 So. Mike Runcie paced Columbia with 14.
