Tigers Sign Pro Contracts

Ian Hummer '13 and TJ Bray '14 were teammates for three seasons in Jadwin Gym, and the two will head to opposite ends of Europe for the next step in their basketball careers.
Hummer will play in Finland for the Nilan Bisons, the team announced upon his July 31 signing. In addition to playing in Finland's top league, called the Korisliiga, the Bisons will play in the upcoming season in the VTB United League, a group of teams from Russia and several other Eastern European nations. The Bisons play in the town of Loimaa, located less than 100 miles northwest of Finland's capital, Helsinki.

Hummer was a three-team All-Ivy League selection while earning Ivy Player of the Year honors in 2013 and graduating as the second-leading scorer in program history behind only Bill Bradley '65. In January, Hummer signed with Ratiopharm Ulm of the top German league for the remainder of the 2013-14 season. Hummer led the Tigers in scoring (16.3 ppg), rebounding (6.4 rpg), assists (115) and blocks (23) as a senior.
Bray will head to the southern reaches of Europe to play with Pallacanestro Trapani in Italy's second league, called Serie A2 Gold, the team announced August 4. The team is located in Trapani, on the western end of the island of Sicily.
While at Princeton, Bray was a two-time All-Ivy League pick, leading the team in scoring (18.0 ppg), steals (34), assists (133), and field goal percentage (.537, 152-283) as a senior. He finished as the only Princeton player since the stat has been recorded (1974-75) to tally three 100-assist seasons.
