Sunday SFIC Results

On Sunday we drove back to Kean for the third straight day for the final day of the weekend's Scholarship Fund for Inner City Children Showcase. Sunday's schedule includes three boys games.
In the first game, Union Catholic outscored Bergen Catholic 78-66 as 5-foot-11 Sr. Damon Lynn scored 31 with 6 assists. 6-foot-7 Jr. Nadi Beciri notched 18 points and 12 rebounds for BC.

As a team UC shot 50% while holding BC to 36%.
In the middle, marquee game St. Joseph's Metuchen ousted St. Peter's Prep 80-66. 6-foot-2 Jr. Marques Townes paced the high powered offense with 31 points on 13-17 shooting. 7-foot Kentucky bound Jr. Karl Towns grabbed 17 rebounds and 6-foot-3 Jr. Wade Baldwin had 24 and 9 assists. 6-foot St. Peter's bound Sr. Trevis Wyche notched 18 points and 8 assists for the Prep.
St. Joes shot 62% from the floor.
In the last boys game Marist edged Paramus Catholic 50-48 on a tip-in at the buzzer from 6-foot-3 Sr. Devyn Ransom. 6-foot-10 Fordham bound Sr. Manny Suarez and Ransom divided 29. 6-foot-2 Jr. Jalen Henriquez and 6-foot-3 Sr. Kyle Menard divided 33 for Paramus Catholic.
