St. Anthonys Wins Title
St. Anthony's took command early and were in control throughout on the way to a 74-44 Parochial B Championship win over Trenton Catholic at the Ritacco Center in Toms River. The Friars looked every bit the number one team in the country as they won their 25th state championship game for Coach Bob Hurley.

St. Anthony's pressure defense was tenacious as they forced 10 TCA first quarter turnovers and blitzed their way to a 26-9 first quarter advantage. The game was never in doubt after that.
6-foot-2 Rutgers bound Sr. Mike Rosario tallied 17 and 6-foot-4 Sr. Tyshawn Taylor had 16. Rosario was 7-13 from the floor and Taylor 7-9. As a team St. Anthony's shot 60%.
The Friars strong defensive effort limited TCA to a 17-56 shooting afternoon, only 30%
6-foot-2 So. Frantz Massenant led TCA with 11 on 4-8 shooting. 6-foot-4 Jr. Daquan Basnight had 8 points and 8 rebounds.
St. Anthony's will get the #1 seed in the Tournament of Champions and will play again on Friday night at Rutgers against an opponent to be determined.
