Rice came storming back to beat McQuaid Jesuit from upstate New York in overtime 73 - 68. The contest was the championship of the eight team Bracket A in the Hoop Group's Fall Metro Classic. Rice trailed by 19 points early in the second half. Rice tied the game at 68 with 24 seconds left on a ferocious follow up dunk from 7'3" Jr. Shagari Alleyne. The overtime belonged to Rice as they outscored McQuaid 5 - 0. Rice was led by 5'10" Sr. Keydren Clarke winners with 24 points. Shagari added 15. 6'0" Jr. Tyler Ralph paced McQuaid with 18. 6'4" Sr. Alfonzo Evans and 6'6" Jr. Marty O'Sullivan split 30 more.
