Playaz beat Roadrunners

In a hard fought battle this afternoon at East Orange High School, the Tim Thomas Playaz beat the Roadrunners in the championship of the NJ State 17 & Under AAU Tournament. The extremely deep and talented Playaz played well together and jumped out 18 - 9 at the end of the first quarter and kept the margin at 9 at the half, before pulling away in the third quarter. 6'11" Paterson Catholic Jr. Darryl Watkins led the winners with 15 points, most on rim-rattling ferocious dunks. Darryl added 5 rebounds, and 3 blocks.

6'3" Newark Eastside Jr. Calvin O'Neal paced the Roadrunners with 11 points.
