Monmouth Soon to Be Grads Moving On

The Asbury Park Press has reported that Monmouth seniors Marcus Ware and Steve Spinella will not play for the Hawks next season. Both players will graduate and since they were redshirted for a season are eligible to play another year if they go to graduate school.
Both are NJ Hoopers, Ware at Vineland High School and Spinella at Colts Neck and Apex Academies. Spinella transferred from South Carolina and was a walk-on this season.

Monmouth Coach King Rice said: "My deal is I'm supposed to graduate these kids. Because of their red shirt status they could come back and play. But at this time we've decided to move forward in a different direction. We're not mad at them," Rice said. "We're not anything. It's just time to go a different direction."
Ware suffered a knee injury that forced him to miss a season.
Ware was ranked #31 Class of 2009. Spinella was ranked 27th in class of 2008 and as the #3 postgrad the following year.
