Mike Menakis RIP
Former Northern Highlands star Michael Menakis has passed away as the tender age of 18. Menakis was a freshman on the College of NJ basketball team.
As a freshman at the College of NJ this season he appeared in 11 games averaging 0.9 ppg in 4.9 mpg.

As a senior he averaged 20 ppg and shot 47% from the field and tallied 61 three-pointers. He also averaged 3.5 rpg, 2.5 apg, and 2.6 spg.
He averaged 23.5 ppg, with 12 treys in the post-season Bergen Invitational County Tournament.
Menakis was a 2nd Team Bergen County pick by Star Ledger and 3rd Team Bergen County choice by the Bergen Record.
As a junior he was a 2nd Team Bergen Conference National Division selection.
That post-season he participated in the NJ North-South All Star Classic.
