The six game Jeff Coney Memorial Scholarship games were held January 26 at Rancocas Valley High School in Mount Holly. There were five games played in one gym and another game held at the same time in the second gym. The event raises scholarship money in the name of the late former Rancocas Valley star and Coach Jeff Coney. Many of the top teams in south jersey were involved.

In the opening game Eastern topped Burlington City 66-56 as 6-foot-2 Jr. Shumeek Scott scored 24 points with 4 treys. 6-foot-2 Sr. Kris Corry continued his recent high scoring binge with 32 points for Burlington City.
In the second game 6-foot-9 Holy Family bound Holy Cross Sr. Justin Swidowski was to much for Ewing. Swidowski finished with 31 points, 11 rebounds and 6 blocks in a 78-57 win over a young Ewing squad. 5-foot-11 Fr. Isaac Robinson paced Ewing with 30 points and 6 treys.
In the middle game Cherry Hill East, always one of the most dangerous three point shooting teams in the state, buried 9 treys on the way to a 61-36 win over Burlington Township. 6-foot-2 Fr. Chris Santo paced the attack with 21 points and 7 rebounds. 5-foot-10 Jr. Quincy Hendrix was high for Township with 13 points, all in the first half.
In the fourth game, fourteenth ranked Trenton Catholic took care of Lenape 71-62. 6-foot Fr. Khalid Lewis-El led the balanced attack which featured six players with at least 9 points. Lewis-El dropped in 16. 6-foot Jr. Pete Dinich tallied 13 for Lenape.
In the finale the home team, 21st ranked Rancocas Valley pulled away in the final quarter to thwart Cherokee 62-52. 6-foot-4 Jr. Kendall White led four double figure scorers with 15 points for the winners. 6-foot-1 Sr. Richie Tarr led Cherokee with 18 points.
