Irving Throughout the Years
On Thursday, June 23rd the Cleveland Cavaliers selected Kyrie Irving first in the 2011 NBA Draft. He became the first player from New Jersey to be slected int he top spot.

Kyrie started his high school career at Montclair Kimberly but after his sophomore season transfered to St. Patrick's.

In the NJ State AAU 15 & Under for the Roadrunners in the semis had 18 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists, in the 3rd place game hit for 28 with 4 treys, 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 4 steals. Impressed at the Hoop Group Metro Top 100.
MAY 2007
In the NJ State AAU 16 & Under for the Roadrunners in the quarterfinals scored 17, 11 in the fourth quarter including 3 consecutive threes. In the semis hit 7 treys and scored 21 points. In the final tallied 5 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. In the NJ State AAU 17 & Under for the Roadrunners notched 14 with 3 treys in a pool play game. In the final Irving scored 16.

Had one of the highest games of the month, 48 points with 4 treys in a loss to Cedar Grove. Had another of the highest games of the month, 36 points, 6 treys in a win over Cedar Grove.

Went for 32 points and 8 assists in the 2nd round of the NJ Prep B Tournament. Had 19 to lead Montclair Kimberly to the chip.
MAR 2008
In the Non Public B North Tournament 1st Round scored 29. Named 8th Team All State averaging 27 ppg.
APR 2008
In the Playaz Spring Fling 16 & Under had 16 in the quarters. The Roadrunners lost in the semis despite his 24 points, 3 treys and 7 rebounds. Scored 22 points in the quarterfinals of the Donofrio Classic. In the NJ State 16 & Under Tournament had 15 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists in the semis. Scored 19 in the championship.
MAY 2008
In the NJ State 17&U AAU Tournament had 30 points in three quarters in a pool play game. He had 4 of his 5 treys in the first quarter. Had 13 points in the championship. In the Providence Jam Fest 16&U Gold Division semis dropped in 25. Named to All Tournament Team at Providence Jam Fest. In the Hoop Group Jam Fest tallied 17 in the 1st half including back to back old fashioned 3 point plays
JUN 2008
NJ Hoops choice for Co-MVP and coming out party for the new St. Patrick's guard at the Hoop Group Summer Showcase. In the 2nd round of Summer Showcase tallied 25 points including 6 treys. In the round of 16 went for 22 with 2 treys. In the Elite 8 notched 14 points, 2 treys, 8 rebounds and 3 steals. In the semis had 16 counters, 3 treys, 5 rebounds and 3 dimes. In the championship concluded a brilliant weekend with 17 points and 6 rebounds. Led St. Patrick's in scoring in Showcase at 19.2 ppg. Had one of the top scoring games of the Showcase with 25 points, 6 treys in a 67-38 win over Middletown South. Had another of the highest scoring games of the Showcase with 22 in a win over New Rochelle. Named All Tournament of 16 & Under Division at Bob Gibbons TOC.
JUL 2008
Ranked as NJ Hoops #2 Rising Junior. Named Most Outstanding Prospect at Hoop Group Elite Camp. Led his team to the camp championship Camp with 12 points, 2 treys, 4 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 steals. In the Top 20 All Star game notched 5 points, 1 trey, 1 rebound, 1 steal. In the Elite 8 of the Hoop Group Team Camp American Division had 13 points and 3 assists. Had 19 in the semis. Scored 27 points in the championship. In the West Virginia Hoop Group Showcase scored 19, 13 and 14 in pool play games of the 16 & Under Division. Had 19 in the Gold Bracket round of 16. scored 35 but it wasn't enough as the Roadrunners fell to DC Assault 65-50 in the final. In the Reebok Summer Championship had 19, 13 and 12 in pool play games. Scored 21 in the first game of bracket play. Had 20 in the quarterfinals and 12 in the semis.

Continued to show why he is one of the best guards in the country leading the Roadrunners to the Fall Hoop Group Jam Fest Open title and earning the MVP award. Exploded for 34 and 35 points in pool play games. Had 24 in a gold bracket quarterfinal and 27 in the semifinal. Once again led tin the championship this time with 27 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists. Named All Star at 5-Star Camp.

St. Patrick's is our pick for #1 in the state and why not. They have either the best or 2nd best senior, junior and sophomore in New Jersey including Irving. Listed as Key Newcomer for Pre-season #1 St. Patrick. Named Pre-Season All Union County.
JAN 2009
St. Patrick remains the team to beat and welcomed in an impact transfer in Irving. Scored 16 in his season debut a win over Newark Tech. Had 22 in a win over Lawrenceville. Scored 20 in a win over Life Center. In the Recruiting Trail column attended the Rutgers-Seton Hall game at the Prudential Center.

Scored 21 in a win over St. Benedict's. Had 13 in win over Hun, 15 in win over Pennsbury PA, 16 in win over Lincoln NY. In the Union County Tournament quarterfinal notched 24 in win over Roselle. 12 in the semifinal win over Linden, Had 29 points and 9 assists in win the championship win over Elizabeth.

St. Patrick's went wire to wire as #1 despite some bumps in the road including NJ Hoops #1 Jr. missing the first 12 games due to state transfer rules. In the Parochial B North semi he dropped in 19 in a win over St. Mary's Elizabeth. In the TOC semifinal win over Lenape scored 20. Tallied 26 in the championship win over Science. In the Recruiting Trail column among the coaches watching him at the state Parochial finals at the Ritacco Center were Fred Hill of Rutgers and Bobby Huggins of West Virginia. Assistant coaches from schools Seton Hall as well. Georgia Tech Head Coach Paul Hewitt was among the coaches at the Sovereign Bank Arena in Trenton for the Tournament of Champions semifinal. North Carolina Head Coach Roy Williams, Rutgers Head Coach Fred Hill, Seton Hall Head Coach Bobby Gonzalez were among the coaches on hand at the Izod Center for the Tournament of Champions final. Named All Tournament at Pitt Jam Fest. At the Providence Jam Fest tallied 17 in a pool play game1 17 in a Gold Bracket game. In the quarterfinals exploded for 42 with 5 treys. In the semis tallied 29 with 3 treys. was again brilliant in the championship, this time with 35 points and 6 treys. Named All Tournament at the Providence Jam Fest. In the NJ State 17 & Under AAU had 29 in a pool play game. In the semis was brilliant with 27 points, 15 in the first quarter. He had 3 from deep, 7 rebounds, 9 assists and 3 steals. In the championship he had 40 for the Roadrunners.

Finished 2nd in scoring at Bob Gibbons TOC at 26.0 ppg. Named All Tournament at Bob Gibbons TOC. Averaged 12.6 ppg at NBA Players Camp. Attended Deron Williams Nike Skills Academy. Ranked as NJ Hoops #1 rising senior.

Attended Lebron James Skills Academy. At the Hoop Group Summer Classic in a 1st Round game had 31 including 4 treys. poured in 30 in a sweet 16 round game. Scored 16 in the semis. In the West Virginia Jam Fest had 25 in a pool play game and 25 in the Gold Bracket 1st Round game. In the AAU Super Showcase Gold championship scored 37.

Commits to Duke. IN the Eddie Griffin Challenge fresh off his announcement to Duke in national television showed he why he is one of the best players in the country finished with 19 points and 11 assists. The assist number was twice what any other player had.

In McDonald's All American game had 13 point, 5-8 fg's, 1-1 trey, 2-2 ft's, 2 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 steals in 18 minutes At the Nike Hoop Summit notched 15 points, 5-10 fg's, 5-5 ft's, 3 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals in 25 minutes.
