Hoop Group Headquarters Spring Showdown
Hoop Group Headquarters held their Spring AAU Showdown Friday and Saturday at Hoop Group Headquarters in Neptune. There were four separate age divisions.
17 & UNDER DIVISION

There were 26 teams in the 17 & Under Division.
In the quarterfinals: The Roadrunners shut down the Crusaders 81-36 as 6-foot-1 Newark East Side Sr. Akbar Hoffman had 23 and 6-foot-7 Seton Hall Prep Jr. Kelly Hogan 17.
In a semi the Roadrunners lost to the PA Renegades 66-64 despite 20 from Hoffman.

There were 24 teams in the 15 & Under Division.
The NJ teams including those that made it as far as the semifinals:
In the quarterfinals Team SCAN 15's ran past Hoop Heaven 63-26 as 6-foot-1 Hudson Catholic Fr. Khalief Crawford tallied 11.
In the semis: SCAN 15's edged the Crusaders 63-57 with 6-foot-4 Hudson Catholic Fr. Patrick Strzala scoring 19. 5-foot-9 St. Anthony Fr. Tim Algenio went for 23 for the Crusaders.
The two SCAN teams were crowned co-champions and the championship was not played.
