Dougher Signs Pro Contract

Former Scotch Plains star Bryan Dougher (NJ Hoops #28 Class of 2008) has signed a contract to play for the Ringwood Hawks of the Australian Basketball Association, located in Heathmont near Melbourne. The season runs from March to August, and he's joining a team that captured the Big V Basketball state championship in 2012. In the meantime, Dougher will also serve as an assistant basketball coach at Westfield High School.
Dougher graduated this past spring after becoming Stony Brook's all-time leading Div. I scorer with 1,609 points. He also is the program's all-time leader in three-pointers made with 337. He was a first-team All-America East and second-team NABC All-District selection in 2011-12 after leading the Seawolves with a 13.2 points per game average.
