Bloomfield College sophomore Andre Dabney was named an All-American honorable mention by the NCAA Division II Bulletin.

Dabney was named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Player of the Year and first team, all-CACC. He was also named to NCAA Division II Northeast Regional second team.

He led the team in scoring and was ranked fifth in the CACC with 16.8 points per game. In the conference, he was 16th in rebounding with 5.1 per game, fifth in assists with 3.91 per game, fourth in steals with 2.38 per game and sixth in three-point field goals made with 2.22 per game.

Dabney also eclipsed the 1,000-point mark this season. In just two years, he has accumulated 1,068 points.

Dabney was ranked as the among the Top 55 Seniors in the state in the May 2002 NJ Hoops Newsletter.
