Claude Kennard MLK Results

On Martin Luther King morning we drove down to Paulsboro for 7 games in the Claude Kennard Martin Luther King Classic. The event featured 14 south jersey teams and two in NJ Hoops top 25.
In the first game Lindenwold topped Glassboro 69-43 as 6-foot-2 Sr. Omar Menson scored 16 points with 4 treys. 6-foot-2 Sr. Josh Smith had 15 for Glassboro.

In the second game Sterling topped Deptford 59-41. 6-foot Sr. Marcus Taylor tallied 15 points. 6-foot-5 Jr. Tyler Wisniewski had 13 for Deptford, 8 in the final quarter.
In the third game in a game of runs, Burlington City jumped out 24-13 after one quarter over Clearview. Clearview took control going up 34-31 at intermission and 51-44 after three. City made another run in the fourth taking the lead but Clearview held on 61-58. 5-foot-10 Sr. Tom Heim paced the balanced Clearview attack with 14 points and 4 assists. 6-foot-1 Jr. Jelani Glaze had 17 for City, 12 in the opening quarter.
In the 4th game Bishop Eustace ran past Delsea 68-33. 6-foot Jr. Flo DaSilva had 13 points and 7 steals. 6-foot-5 So. Kwame Morton led Delsea with 10.
In the 5th game Washington Township came back to beat Gloucester Catholic 42-40. 6-foot Jr. Julian Jastrzebski notched 12, 8 in the fourth quarter. 6-foot-1 Jr. Chris Akwarandu notched 11 for Gloucester Catholic.
In the 6th game Pitman cut down Timber Creek 78-60. 6-foot-8 So. Tim Delaney dominated with 30 points and 16 boards. 5-foot-7 Sr. George Sapp scored 16, 12 in the final period for Timber Creek.
In the 7th game undefeated Paulsboro thwarted Schalick 78-57. 6-foot-8 Old Dominion bound football star Julian Davenport went for 26 points, 12 boards and 6 blocks. 6-foot-9 Jr. Rashaan Holloway had 21 for Schalick in the battle of big men.
