Boyle Pulls Out At Rutgers
Highly succesful St. Patrick's Head Coach Kevin Boyle has taken his name out of consideration for an Assistant Coaching position on Coach Mike Rice's staff at Rutgers.

Reports are that Boyle was one of three finalists for the position. It appears that they couldn't come to terms on the money and Coach Boyle did not want to leave the St. Patrick's team that has a chance to make a run at the national championship with junior sensation Mike Gilchrist.
Boyle commented on the situation: "I appreciate any interest shown in me by the school but there were certain financial considerations that I had to consider. I have one kid in college at Villanova, a second starting NY Film School in the fall, and a third child starting parochial high school in the fall. I needed a certain amount of money and/or the ability to keep my summer camps. There was a grey area with the NCAA whether I could do that."
The former National High School Coach of the Year continued: "I am very happy at St. Patrick's. I have a loyalty to the kids which is important. I look forward to every season there."
Reports are that Rice will now zero in on a pair of college assistants for the one spot.
