Bloomfield Tech wins thriller
Bloomfield Tech edged Paulsboro 61 - 59 on a last second fullcourt drive by 6'1 Jr. Courtney Nelson in the NJ Group 1 state championship tonight at Rutgers. The two best players on the floor Nelson and 6'4" Paulsboro Sr. Russ Carter traded huge plays down the stretch.
Carter scored on a baseline drive with :06 remaining to tie the score with and set up Courtney's length of the court dash that beat the buzzer. Nelson finished with 28 points on 12 - 20 shooting. Russ Carter closed a brilliant career with 24 points.

Paulsboro turned it over 24 times and Bloomfield Tech shot 0 - 12 from three.
