Bergen Catholic ousts Seton Hall Prep

Bergen Catholic topped Seton Hall Prep 65 - 50 in the second round of the Parochial A North bracket of the NJ state tournament. Seton Hall jumped out early, ahead 19 - 10 after one behind 10 first quarter points from 6'1" Sr. Anthony Drejaj. 6'7" Bergen Catholic Jr. Sean Banks led the comeback with 10 second quarter points, as BC took a 31 - 30 lead at the half. Bergen Catholic's defense was oustanding shutting down Seton Hall, and controlling the backboards in the second half. 6'0" Jr. Joe Sandberg (pictured) led BC with 20 points. Sean Banks added 19 and 8 rebounds. 6'7" Jr. Adrian Joseph added 13 points, 11 rebounds, and 3 rejections. 6'5" Jr. Dan Gentile chipped in with 11, burying 3 treys.
Drejaj and 6'2" Jr. Jamar Nutter combined for 40 of the Prep's 50 points. 6'4" Jr. Alex Buzbee grabbed 11 caroms to lead Seton Hall.
