A Pair of Rider Grads Turn Pro

A pair of 2014 Rider University graduates, Daniel Stewart and Anthony Myles, are heading overseas to continue their basketball careers.
Stewart (Philadelphia, PA/Neumann-Goretti) is heading to Argentina and Myles (Dover, DE/Poly-Tech) had signed to play in Italy.

"I am happy that Daniel and Anthony have signed contracts to play in Argentina and Italy," said Rider head coach Kevin Baggett. "I am so proud for both of them. They worked so hard and did so many wonderful things here for us at Rider. I wish them well and I'm excited to continue to watch them play professionally for years to come."
Stewart is heading to Buenos Area the second week of September and will be playing for Argentino, a squad that finished in the top five in the A League of Argentina last year. His season begins in the Sudaamerican Tournament, which will include teams from Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina and Mexico.
Myles will be playing for Vuelle Pesaro in the Italy A1 League, located in Pesaro. Vuelle Pesaro is in the top league in Italy, one of the most competitive in Europe.
Stewart graduated 13th in career scoring (1,436 points) at Rider and second in career rebounding (888 rebounds). Stewart earned Second Team All-Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference honors as a senior, Third Team All-MAAC honors as a junior and was the MAAC Rookie of the Year as a freshman.
Myles graduated 14th in career scoring (1,417 points) at Rider. Myles was a Third Team All-MAAC pick both his junior and senior seasons.
