Top seeded Point Pleasant Beach thwarted Southern 62-42 as 6-foot-1 Sr. Matt Farrell hit for 21. Jackson Memorial eliminated Marlboro 48-35 as Carter scored 17. Manasquan held down Red Catholic 49-27 with Fay scoring 20. 4th seeded Matawan shut down Point Pleasant Boro 46-32. 6-foot-2 Sr. Chris Tawiah had 15. 2nd seeded CBA stopped St. Rose 61-46 as 6-foot-7 So. Pat Andree had 20. Neptune held off Holmdel 66-50 as 6-foot-1 Sr. Myles Mooney scored 23. 3rd seeded Lakewood handled Toms River North 81-61 as 6-foot-1 Sr. Dan Niblack went for 34. Long Branch trimmed Red Bank 54-50 as Cox netted 16.
The Elite 8 was held Sunday February 23, 2014 at Long Branch HS.
CBA edged Neptune 50-47. Andree hit for 21. Lakewood shut down Long Branch 44-28. Niblack tallied 16. Point Pleasant Beach edged Jackson Memorial 51-43 in double overtime. Farrell paced the winners with 24. Matawan thwarted Manasquan 46-36. 6-foot-2 Jr. Jason Dunne and 6-foot Jr. Joe Piscopo had 15 each.
The semis were held Wednesday February 26, 2014 at Brick Memorial HS
CBA beat Lakewood 57-47 as 6-foot-5 Navy bound Sr. Louie Pillari scored 14. Niblack paced Lakewood with 25. Point Pleasant Beach came back to beat Matawan 53-39. 6-foot-8 Iowa bound Dominique Uhl had all of his team high 14 points in the second half. Dunne had 14 for Matawan.
The championship was held Saturday March 1, 2014 at Monmouth University
Point Beach topped CBA 49-41 as Farrell scored 25. Andree notched 23 for CBA.
