Tri County Showcase Results

Friday afternoon we drove down to Bishop Eustace for the first day of the Tri-County Showcase. There are four games on the schedule.

In the first game Holy Cross handled Woodrow Wilson 57-38 as 6-foot Jr. Tymere DeShield hit for 21. 6-foot-1 Jr. Tymere Carter paced Woodrow Wilson 12.

In the second game Kingsway tarnished Sterling 74-61. 5-foot-9 Old Dominion bound football star Ray Lawry led with 24. 6-foot Sr. Jarod Mullica scored 26 for Sterling, 13 in the opening quarter.

In the third game Wildwood Catholic pulled away in the second half to beat Lawrence 55-47. 6-foot-4 Sr. Ed McWade finished with 23 points and 11 rebounds. 5-foot-10 Fr. Myles Mitchell-White notched 13 for Lawrence.

In the night cap Cherokee held off Woodbury 44-40. 6-foot Sr. Kevin Wixted tallied 12 including 4 free throws in the final 16 seconds. 6-foot-1 Sr. Jreay Demby scored 16 for Woodbury.
