Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex Tourney Wrap/All Tourney
The Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex Tournament features teams from three western NJ counties. Teams from Sussex are seeded separately from Hunterdon/Warren teams.

Pope John is a heavy favorite to win their 3rd straight title.
The preliminary round was held Wednesday February 5, 2014
H/W 10th seeded Belvidere trimmed Sussex 7th seeded Vernon 61-57. Kahlil Stewart scored 16. H/W 7th seeded Warren Hills doubled up Sussex 10th seeded Sussex Tech 66-35 with 5-foot-11 So. Anthony Lea scoring 16. H/W 9th seeded Voorhees overcame Sussex 8th seeded Lenape Valley 59-47. H/W 8th seeded Phillipsburg ousted Sussex 9th Seeded Wallkill Valley.
First round games took place February 8, 2014
Sussex top seeded A Pope John beat Phillipsburg 65-55. 6-foot-4 So. James Scott scored 24. H/W 4th seeded North Warren beat Sussex 5th seeded Hopatcong 59-37 as 6-foot-4 Sr. Glen Nanius hit for 26. H/W 2nd seeded South Hunterdon topped Belvidere. H/W 6th seeded North Hunterdon edged Sussex 3rd seeded High Point 55-54. 6-foot-5 Sr. Jacob Johnson tallied 18. Sussex 2nd seeded Sparta climbed past Warren Hills 62-42. H/W 3rd seeded Hunterdon Central ran past Sussex 6th seeded Kittatinny 76-36. 6-foot-3 Sr. Jeff Dzierzawiec dropped in 16. H/W top seeded Hackettstown thwarted Voorhees 62-47 as 6-foot-2 Jr. Jeremy Delvalle netted 20. Sussex 4th seeded Newton ditched H/W 5th seeded Delaware Valley 67-48. 6-foot-7 Sr. Steve Kelly finished with 19 points and 14 rebounds.
Elite Eight games were held February 15, 2014 at higher seeds.
Pope John outscored North Warren 73-46. Scott and 6-foot-9 Jr. Moustapha Diagne each accounted for 20. Sparta shut down Hunterdon Central 54-29. Sr. Kevin Foulds had 14. North Hunterdon handled South Hunterdon 60-42. 6-foot-2 Sr. Mike Magalewski hit for 21. Hackettstown edged Newton 64-61. 5-foot-8 Jr. Frank Rios hit for 24.
The semifinals were held February 22, 2014
Pope John beat North Hunterdon 66-52. 6-foot-1 Jr. Matt Zignorski scored 19. Sparta held back Hackettstown 49-39. 6-foot-8 Muhlenburg bound Sr. Mitch Cohen scored 14.
The championship contest was held February 28, 2014 at Hopatcong HS
Pope John pulled away late for a 61-46 win over Sparta. 6-foot-3 So. James Scott led the balanced attack with 17. 6-foot Sr. Matthew Chemis paced Sparta with 15. 6-foot-2 Jr. Matt Zignorski with 12 points and 5 assists in championship was named Tournament MVP.
