Buc Classic Results

On Sunday we drove down to Red Bank for four games including the championship of the Buc Classic. The field included two of NJ Hoops pre-season top 30 teams.

In the 7th place game Freehold Boro edged Red Bank 50-48. 6-foot Sr. Dan Martucci tallied 16 points and 14 rebounds. 6-foot So. Justin Gilson had 16 counters and 7 boards for Red Bank.

Monmouth beat Monsignor Donovan 67-57 for 5th place. 6-foot-2 Fr. Nyrhique Smith registered 21 points and 6 assists for the winners. 6-foot-4 So. Jesse Hill had 23, 10 in the fourth quarter for Mon Don.

In the 3rd place game Shore trimmed Middletown North 66-65 in a thriller as Sr. Tyler Vivian hit a jumper from the left corner at the buzzer. Sr. Brian Dubois led the way with 19. 5-foot-10 Sr. Cody Thompson scored 18 for North, 15 in the second half.

In the championship Manasquan had a surprisingly easy time cruising past Roselle 72-45. 6-foot-6 Stonehill bound Sr. Jimmy Walsh dominated with 24 points and 16 rebounds. 6-foot-3 Sr. Evan Jimenez tallied 12 for Roselle.
