Austin looking forward to unofficial UM visit

Washington, D.C., Coolidge defensive tackle Marvin Austin is already getting a good feel for colleges that are recruiting him.


He's taken unofficial visits to Notre Dame, Tennessee, Penn State (three times), North Carolina, Maryland, Virginia and NC State.


Up next is Miami, and he also plans to visit FSU and USC this summer.


Why all the visits so early?


"Just to get a feel for them as many times as I can, just to see how the school is, hang out with the players and see how I fit in with them," Austin said. "I want to see how the team does things, how coaches interact with the players, the type of setting the school is in. I want to see that as many times as I can so I can set my officials."
