The season started the Monday after Thanksgiving, roughly four months ago when over 400 high schools started practice. Tuesday night at the Sun Bank Arena in Trenton the Tournament of Champions final crowned a champion and culminated another exciting season of NJ high school basketball. Roselle Catholic came out with trophy after a 65-49 win over St. Joseph's Metuchen.

The match-up included two of the best prospects in the state, 7-foot Kentucky bound Jr. Karl Towns and 6-foot-9 Syracuse bound Sr. Tyler Roberson of Roselle Catholic. But the real star of the night was 6-foot-6 Roselle Catholic So. Malachi Richardson who had 22 points, hitting 5-5 from long range.

Roberson finished with 19 points and 12 rebounds. 6-foot-2 Jr. Marques Townes led St. Joes with 17.

Towns tallied 7 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 blocks.

Roselle Catholic shot 5-12 from three while St. Joes was 3-18.

Roselle Catholic was the Non-Public B Champ and TOC #1 seed while St. Joseph's Metuchen is the Non-Public A Champ and TOC #2 seed.
