The Hoop Group Boardwalk Showcase at Long Branch High School annually features most of the top teams at the Shore. This year's card also includes two of the top teams in the state in undefeated St. Anthony and St. Joseph's Metuchen. Five of the top ten teams at the Shore were participating.

In the first game, in a battle of top 30 teams in the state, Point Pleasant Beach upended Manasquan 48-42. 6-foot Jr. Matt Farrell tallied 13 points and 8 rebounds. 6-foot-4 Sr. JR Hobbie tallied 17 for Manasquan.

In the second game undefeated St. Anthony, ranked as NJ Hoops #1 high school team shut down CBA 54-25. 6-foot-3 Temple bound Sr. Josh Brown tallied 12 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. 6-foot-6 Fr. Pat Andree had 7 for CBA.

In the third game St. Joseph's Metuchen ran past Neptune 82-41. 7-foot Kentucky bound Jr. Karl Towns notched 23 points and 12 rebounds. 6-foot-3 Jr. Wade Baldwin notched 18 points and 9 assists. 5-foot-10 Jr. Shakeem Richardson paced Neptune with 19.

In the finale Colts Neck trimmed Long Branch 47-43. 6-foot-4 Sr. Brandon Federici led the winners with 16 points and 3 treys. 6-foot-4 Jr. Hassan Foster had 17 points and 9 boards for Long Branch.
