Bruins Blow Out The Cats

UCLA went on a 22-5 run to end the first half of Thursday's opening round game against Weber State, shutting the Wildcats out from the field over the final eight minutes of the stanza on its way to an impressive 70-42 victory at Arco Arena in Sacramento.

Weber's 42 total points was the lowest output by a Bruin opponent in the NCAA tournament since John Wooden's 1972-1973 squad held the San Francisco Dons to just 39 points in the West Region final en route to UCLA's seventh consecutive national title.
