From the moment Bloomfield (N.J.) offensive tackle Marcell Lazard initially received his offer from West Virginia; the Mountaineers were right at the top of his recruitment. And that culminated Saturday evening when the rivals.com three-star pledged to become the first member of the Mountaineers 2013 recruiting class.


Lazard, 6-foot-6, 312-pounds was on his third visit to Morgantown for the Gold-Blue game and decided he had seen enough and ended his recruitment. But that wasn't always his intention coming into the visit; in fact he even took himself by surprise.
